About Guaranteed Drops for D2RMM
Guaranteed Drops for D2RMM is a gameplay addon for Diablo II: Resurrected that applies the long-standing “nodrop=0” change: any monster capable of dropping an item will always drop something, instead of occasionally leaving nothing behind. It does not change which item drops or how good it is — only removes the chance of an empty drop.
Built by olegbl — the same author behind Increase Monster Density for D2RMM, Perfect Drops for D2RMM and several other D2RMM addons — this D2RMM nodrop removal mod requires D2RMM and was first uploaded in February 2022, most recently reaching v1.5 on 16 February 2026. Nexus tags it simply “Gameplay,” and the author has been explicit that it “adjusts NoDrop rate” without rebalancing treasure classes or changing which monsters drop which items.
How the nodrop=0 change works
The mod sets the NoDrop parameter to zero across treasure classes, so any monster that could have dropped something under vanilla rules will drop something every time. A “/players” option lets players simulate any players-count drop-rate boost — including values beyond the game’s normal cap of 8, or a setting of 0 for a pure, unboosted nodrop=0 effect — giving control over how much extra loot volume comes with the guaranteed drops.
Fix Countess, Sunder Charms and Terrorize Consumables options
Three more configuration options were added across later versions. “Fix Countess” reorders her treasure classes to prioritize runes over items (three runes plus one item, instead of one rune plus three items). “Sunder Charms,” added in v1.3, allows a separate /players setting specifically for sunder charm drops, since the default configuration deliberately does not guarantee they drop. “Terrorize Consumables,” added in v1.5, lets players set a distinct /players value for consumables in Terrorized Zones — added specifically after players reported an excessive volume of worldstone shards, which this option lets them dial back down.
Reign of the Warlock support and known limitations
Version 1.4 added Reign of the Warlock compatibility. One player reported the mod not applying inside Terror Zones specifically, suggesting a zone-specific limitation rather than a general failure. Sunder charm drops have also caused recurring confusion: several players found charms weren’t guaranteed even with the mod enabled, and troubleshooting with the author revealed this is by design at default settings, not a bug — other mods in a player’s load order can also interfere, and the author has pointed out that manually setting /players to 0 for sunder charms is often what players actually want.
Installing the mod
The official Guaranteed Drops for D2RMM download is hosted on Nexus Mods and requires D2RMM. With D2RMM installed, extract the mod folder into the D2RMM /mods/ directory, enable it, configure the /players, Fix Countess, Sunder Charms and Terrorize Consumables options as wanted, and click Install Mods before launching Diablo II: Resurrected. The mod is distributed under an MIT license that allows modification, conversion and asset use, with only Steam Workshop and other paid/commercial use excluded — full terms are on the Guaranteed Drops for D2RMM download page.
Who this mod is for
This mod suits offline or modded players who are tired of monsters occasionally dropping nothing at all, without wanting the odds of a good item to change. Because it leaves treasure-class weighting untouched, it pairs cleanly with rarity- or rate-focused mods from the same author for players building a broader loot overhaul, and its extra options — Fix Countess, Sunder Charms, Terrorize Consumables — let players tune the volume of extra drops rather than accepting a single fixed behavior, and the full option list is documented on the Guaranteed Drops for D2RMM download page.
D2 Horadric editorial view
This is a mature, actively maintained addon — first released in 2022 and still receiving updates in 2026, including a targeted fix for excess worldstone shard drops in Terrorized Zones. Its scope is genuinely narrow, as the author describes it: it removes empty drops without touching what actually drops, which keeps it closer in spirit to this author’s neutral quality-of-life mods than to the more balance-altering ones in this same package. Its rough edges — a Terror Zone limitation and recurring sunder-charm confusion — are both explained clearly by the author rather than left as mysteries
Key Features
- Applies the classic nodrop=0 change so any monster capable of dropping an item always drops one
- Configurable /players option simulates any players-count drop boost, including a pure unboosted setting
- Fix Countess option prioritizes runes over items in her treasure classes
- Sunder Charms and Terrorize Consumables options (added v1.3/v1.5) give separate /players control for those specific drop types
Requirements
- Diablo II: Resurrected
- D2RMM (Mod Manager)
Pros
- Narrow, well-defined scope — removes empty drops without touching item odds or treasure-class weighting
- Highly configurable via /players, Fix Countess, Sunder Charms and Terrorize Consumables options
- Actively maintained with a 2026 fix for excess worldstone shard drops
- Author provides detailed, hands-on troubleshooting support
- MIT license allows broad reuse
Cons
- One report of the mod not applying inside Terror Zones specifically, without a confirmed fix
- Sunder Charms not guaranteed at default settings, which has caused recurring player confusion even though it's by design
- A Fix Countess regression was reported by one player though another confirmed it still works
- Requires manual /players configuration to get some of the more specific behaviors players expect
