About No Stamina Drain for D2RMM

No Stamina Drain for D2RMM is a quality-of-life addon for Diablo II: Resurrected that removes the stamina cost of running, so characters are never forced back to a walk. The mod hasn’t been updated since April 2023, but three years of community feedback are mostly positive, with one narrow, fixable build issue worth knowing about before installing.

Built by Binarynova, this D2RMM stamina removal mod requires D2RMM and has seen a single release, v1.0, since its April 2023 launch, with around 383 endorsements. Nexus categorizes it under “Gameplay.” Source code is published on GitHub, and the author directs Donation Points to the Wildlife Conservation Society.

How the stamina removal works

The mod edits the game’s character stats table so running no longer drains the stamina bar, leaving characters free to run continuously instead of being forced back to a walk once stamina empties. Nexus notes a very small residual drain remains, but for practical purposes the effect is unlimited stamina.

A narrow build issue, and the community fix

In July 2026, a player named thangnguyen91 reported that following the install guide produced an empty charstats.txt file after D2RMM finished building the mod, and asked for help; another player, ju5tA1ex, suggested enabling DEBUG logging to diagnose it further. The underlying cause and a working fix had already been posted a couple of months earlier: in May 2026, Alusan313 explained that editing the top line of the mod’s mod.js file to reference the correct global\excel\base\charstats.txt path resolved the empty-file problem, and noted the same fix helped with other mods hitting the identical issue. Two other, less specific reports — Ayling in February 2026 (“doesn’t seem to work anymore”) and MnemonicGhost in May 2024 (stamina still draining despite the mod showing as active in D2RMM) — did not include enough detail to confirm whether the same build issue was the cause.

Reception across three years

Outside of that build issue, feedback has stayed largely positive well into 2026: Lionel2b called it “Amazing mod! Thank you!” in February 2026, ronyalan rated it a “10/10… an absolute must-have” in March 2025, and earlier reviews from headsticks187 (October 2024) and QwQ02 (November 2025) describe it working as intended. One player, VeraFeiyd, asked in December 2024 whether a future version could also remove the armor-related running penalty, a feature the mod does not currently include. Binarynova has not posted a public reply to any of the mod’s 14 community posts since its 2023 release, so none of these reports — positive or negative — have been addressed directly by the author.

Installing the mod

The official No Stamina Drain for D2RMM download is hosted on Nexus Mods and requires D2RMM. Extract the mod folder into the D2RMM /mods/ directory and enable it before clicking Install Mods. If the resulting charstats.txt comes out empty, checking the mod.js file path against the community fix described above is the first thing to try. Uploads to other sites are not permitted, modifications require the author’s permission, the mod cannot be converted for other games, and its assets cannot be used in monetized projects or ones earning donation points — full terms are on the No Stamina Drain for D2RMM download page.

Who this mod is for

This addon suits players who want a simple, single-purpose quality-of-life change and don’t mind occasionally troubleshooting a D2RMM build step themselves — checking the No Stamina Drain for D2RMM download page’s comment section covers the community fix for the one known build issue. It’s a reasonable fit for most installs given three years of largely positive feedback, though anyone who hits an empty charstats.txt file should expect to apply that fix rather than get help from the author directly.

D2 Horadric editorial view

This is a small, focused mod that does exactly one thing — removing running’s stamina cost — and most of the community record over three years backs up that it keeps doing it. The one recurring technical snag, an empty charstats.txt after building, already has a documented community fix, and the handful of vaguer “doesn’t work” reports don’t establish a broader pattern the way this catalogue’s more clearly neglected mods do. The author’s total silence across 14 posts is worth knowing going in, but on the evidence available this holds up as a solid, low-risk quality-of-life pick.

Key Features

  • Removes the stamina cost of running, effectively unlimited stamina with only a negligible residual drain
  • Single v1.0 release since April 2023
  • Source code published on GitHub

Requirements

  • Diablo II: Resurrected
  • D2RMM (Mod Manager)

Pros

  • Solves a real, common quality-of-life annoyance — running being interrupted by stamina depletion
  • Nearly 400 endorsements and largely positive community feedback through February 2026
  • Source code is publicly available on GitHub
  • simple, single-purpose, low install complexity

Cons

  • No update since April 2023, over three years, and the author has never replied to any of the mod's 14 community posts
  • A known build issue can produce an empty charstats.txt file, though a community-posted fix exists
  • A small number of vaguer "doesn't work" reports exist without enough detail to confirm their cause
