Diablo II: Resurrected is the official modern version of Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion. It preserves the original campaign structure, character progression, skill systems, itemization and difficulty levels while rebuilding the presentation with remastered 3D graphics, updated cinematics, modern resolutions and revised interface features. Players can switch between the remastered presentation and legacy-style graphics during play, making D2R suitable both for returning veterans and newcomers who want the classic game on current hardware. Official online play runs through Battle.net. Players can create Expansion or Pre-Expansion characters, choose Softcore or Hardcore rules and participate in cooperative PvE, trading and PvP.
