About Hero Editor
Hero Editor is one of the classic offline tools for Diablo II and Lord of Destruction. It is mainly used to edit single-player character save files, including stats, skills, gold, quests, waypoints and items. For D2 Horadric it should be listed as a Tool rather than a server because it works locally with save files and does not provide an online realm or multiplayer environment. It is best suited for build testing, offline experimentation, recovery of old characters and modding workflows. For Diablo II: Resurrected, use a separate D2R-compatible editor entry instead of treating this legacy tool as fully modern D2R-ready.
