About cnc-ddraw
cnc-ddraw is a compatibility wrapper for old DirectDraw-based games, including classic Diablo II / Lord of Destruction setups that still use or support the DirectDraw renderer. It can help fix black screens, poor performance, crashes and broken Alt-Tab behavior on modern systems. It also adds practical quality-of-life features such as windowed mode, borderless mode, fullscreen exclusive mode, shader upscaling, FPS limiter, VSync and automatic renderer selection between GDI, OpenGL and Direct3D 9. For D2 Horadric it should be listed as a Tool rather than a server because it does not provide an online realm. It is useful for legacy LoD players, old private server clients and modded installations, but it should not be presented as a Diablo II: Resurrected tool.
