About SlashGaming Diablo II Free Resolution / SGD2FreeRes
SlashGaming Diablo II Free Resolution, commonly shortened to SGD2FreeRes, is a legacy resolution patch for classic Diablo II and Lord of Destruction. It allows the game to use custom user-specified resolutions through the Video Options menu and automatically adjusts inventory and interface positions from the original 800×600 layout. The project supports several video modes and wrappers, including GDI, DirectDraw, Direct3D, cnc-ddraw, D2GL, Sven’s Glide, nGlide and D2DX, with unrestricted resolutions depending on the renderer. It is also compatible with PlugY and D2SE mod setups. For D2 Horadric it should be listed as a Tool rather than a server because it does not provide an online realm. It is best suited for legacy single-player, modded LoD clients and approved private server environments. It should not be presented as a Diablo II: Resurrected tool, and unauthorized Battle.net use should be treated as risky.
